Dear *** Families,

As you are likely aware, we are being impacted now more than ever before by the effects of COVID on our *** community - staff and families are in quarantine, illnesses are requiring testing, and staff are being impacted by the side effects of their second vaccine. As a result, all classes will need to pivot to remote learning on Thursday, April 8th.

The size of our school affects our ability to cover a large number of absences. On Monday and Tuesday of this week, we juggled staffing to make sure students had coverage in their classrooms for continuity of learning.

Unfortunately, on Thursday we are unable to staff in-person learning.

Teams are creating plans and will be reaching out directly to families. Please know that menus of learning will be as similar as possible to what Wednesdays look like, but there may be more asynchronous learning. If teachers are sick, they must take a sick day and will not be expected to be online for synchronous time. If there is a need for live time, teams will do their best to cover one another in order to support students.

We are encouraged by the increasing availability of vaccinations within Vermont, and even more so by the support, outreach and collaboration we have received from our school families when we have temporary pivots. We will continue to do our very best with stringent protocols and team efforts to minimize the spread of Covid as well as keep interruptions to in-person learning as brief as possible.

School meals continue to be free for all children 18 and younger. If you would like meal delivery or pickup on Thursday please use this link to order for your children or call the number within this form.

Kind regards,

*********, ***, & *********
